This week you’ll be working on a rough draft of your mid-term portfolio’s reflective cover essay.  Use this thread to ask any questions you might have about the assignment.

The current due date for the Mid-Term Portfolio Essay Final Draft is March 15th. That is right at the start of Spring Break. Is this to allow more time to look the work over before the March 24th Withdrawal deadline? Would it be possible for you to extend that deadline to the Tuesday after the break?

Thank you!

Anthony,

I'll accept the papers up until the Tuesday after Spring Break, but I'd like you to have them done ASAP so as to have something of a real break.  I've designed the Spring Break so as to have nothing due.  Students will be able to complete missed work or--if they're caught up--take a real break.

Often the accurate answer to a usage question begins, "It depends." And what
it depends on most often is where you are, who you are, who your listeners
or readers are, and what your purpose in speaking or writing is.
